Revolut Secures MiCA License to Expand Crypto Services Across Europe
Revolut has obtained a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, positioning itself as a compliant player in Europe's digital asset landscape. The approval enables the fintech firm to offer regulated crypto services across 30 European Economic Area countries, leveraging its Cyprus base as a operational hub.
The license paves the way for Revolut's "Crypto 2.0" platform rollout, featuring an extensive selection of over 280 tokens. Key offerings include zero-fee staking with rewards up to 22% and 1:1 stablecoin-to-USD conversions. This expansion could potentially reach 450 million users, significantly broadening access to crypto services throughout the region.
